Eric (Pearce) è un uomo che si è lasciato tutto alle spalle, ma c’è una cosa a cui tiene più di tutto: la sua macchina. Un giorno, il veicolo gli viene rubato da una banda di criminali, tra cui c’è Rey (Pattinson), che rimane ferito durante la rapina. Eric userà il giovane per addentrarsi nel deserto australiano e ritrovare ciò che gli appartiene.
