Liam Neeson torna nei panni di Bryan Mills, ex-agente operativo, la cui riconciliazione con la ex-moglie è tragicamente interrotta quando lei viene brutalmente uccisa. Consumato dalla rabbia e incastrato per il delitto, Mills è costretto alla fuga per eludere la ricerca implacabile della CIA, FBI e della polizia. Per l’ultima volta, dovrà usare il suo “particolare set di competenze”, per rintracciare i veri assassini, imporre il suo marchio unico di giustizia e proteggere l’unica cosa che conta per lui ora – sua figlia.
