Anni ’80. Conor è un ragazzo di Dublino con uno spiccato talento per la scrittura di canzoni. La sua è una situazione famigliare complicata e la musica è un prezioso mezzo di evasione. Quando conosce l’aspirante modella Raphina, se ne innamora perdutamente. Lei lo convince a fondare una pop band e sarà proprio grazie al gruppo, insieme all’affetto di suo fratello maggiore, a permettergli di superare le difficoltà del matrimonio dei genitori.
