Into the Woods è un film intenso e ricco di umorismo che rivede e intreccia, in chiave di musical, le celebri fiabe di Cenerentola, Cappuccetto Rosso, Raperonzolo e Jack e il fagiolo magico, unendole fra loro con una storia del tutto nuova incentrata su un panettiere e sua moglie, sul loro desiderio di formare una famiglia e sul rapporto con la strega (Meryl Streep) che ha gettato su di loro un maleficio.
