Bob è un ragazzo che vive nel Bronx e sogna di diventare un famoso rapper. La spinta verso questo obiettivo gli è stata data dalla scoperta del reggaeton, un genere che mischia hip pop, reggae e ritmi latini: insieme al fratellastro Javi mette alla prova le sue capacità confrontandosi anche con altri cantanti di strada, ma una lite con un gruppo di teppisti lo constringerà a fuggire in Porto Rico e a nascondersi a casa del padre mai conosciuto….
