James Donahue parte con i suoi amici alla ricerca di sua sorella Heather, scomparsa nell’ottobre del ’94 in circostanze misteriose nei boschi del Maryland. Una volta giunti sul posto, il gruppo di ragazzi si trova di fronte alle presenze inquietanti della foresta, le stesse che avevano terrorizzato Heather. Forze oscure che sembrano tutte ricondurre alla figura della leggendaria strega di Blair, che da oltre due secoli miete vittime.
